William J. Daniel (b. 26 February 1943) is a retired Rear Admiral of the United States Navy. He served in the Medical Corps and from 1992-1995 was Commander of the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. ==Background and Education== McDaniel was born on a farm near Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 26, 1943.〔Office of Public Affairs, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth Public Affairs Office.
